Help!
I have a 2006 F150, 5.4L. My truck started acting really funny....finally popped a code. (607) on my reader. It stated "Control module performance" The truck started shaking and eventually died. I let it sit for a while and it started back up. What does this part intel and how much is it going to cost?....where is it located?...I really appreciate the help

I would tend to agree with Mawk. If you're running an Edge or comparable tuner, put it back to stock and remove the tuner to see if that helps. If running stock without a tuner, the best thing to do if you do your own work would be to follow the diagnostic routine in the Ford Emissions and Powertrain manual for our generation of vehicle. That will pinpoint the exact problem without needlessly replacing parts. It could be a short in the PCM or wiring. The pinpoint tests tell you which. It's hard to pinpoint the cost without knowing exactly what is bad. A PCM is in the $300-$500 range and needs to have the current program in your old PCM tranferred to the new. Only a dealer or qualified service facility can do that. I hope this helps.
