So my truck hit 4,300 miles today and I got an "800 miles to empty" warning for the DEF. That would put the cycle at 5,100 for the first tank of DEF. I was thinking 7,500, so this seems a little early. I understand its based on driving habits, but still seems a little early. Overall its no big deal, I am loving this truck...Awesome mileage, awesome features, awesome engine, and still a home run in my book. I just wanted to throw this out for basis of comparison to see what everyone is getting when you get to that mileage or warning.

Dude, you're putting in some serious seat-time on that truck! 4,300 miles already.
I went to Napa and asked the young parts guy if they had some DEF. He said, "Huh?" and I spelled it out, diesel exhaust fluid. Guy looked at me like I was growing an extra arm out of my head. Then I said, "Ad Blue" and the light came on. He went in the back and came out with a 2.5 gallon of DEF for $12.00. I told him I didn't need it yet but he seemed grateful for helping him understand what it was. It was fun to have all the guys at the counter follow me out to the parking lot and admire the beast.
