Flashing Headlights
With my 01 Escape XLT 3.0L, I've been noticing the headlights keep flashing unless I turn the switch all the way up to the one next to high beam (if you know where I'm talking about?). This turns all the lights on in the front and during the day, and even night, this just looks silly because it seems like I'm the only one with all the lights on. Has anyone else had this problem? How do you fix it?

I recently got a 2002 Ford Escape XLT and it has this same problem. I have had it for about 2 months now but I just started noticing it, OR it just started happening. The lights when set as "off" still will blink, but when they are on the first normal setting they blink as well. But when set on the highest setting, like yours, they stop blinking as well. It's super strange that it does this and there is no explanation other than the wires shorting out or something. I noticed it only blinks when it feels like it, it doesn't ALWAYS do it. Do you notice this as well? Or do you also notice the blinking will gradually get faster?
I am going to bring mine to a friend, who owns a Ford dealership. We also have an Expedition and Explorer and he always checks out our vehicles for free. But the best thing to do is bring it to a Ford dealership!
