Right Turn flash issue
I have replaced in order listed, all bulbs and inspected contacts. Turn signal switch as it needed a new cam anyhow so replaced the whole thing. turn signal flasher relay. (this fixed the original problem of right turn signal not working at all). Hazzard flashers always worked and still do. replaced headlight switch. Im down to thinking its in the ignition switch changing the ignition switch. cant figure this one out. With the headlights on and right turn signal on there is nothing on the right side, with the headlights off EVERYTHING WORKS!!!
Can someone rattle my brain please?
This is a classic sign of ground shift due to corroded sockets. Visual inspection means nothing when it comes to electrical. To solve electrical problems, you must use the proper tools, which in this case is a multimeter.
No turn signals with the headlights on means bad sockets up front. No turn signals with the brake lights on means bad sockets in the back. Therefore you must replace all 1157-style sockets on the truck.
The ignition switch is not related. It has nothing to do with the issue you are seeing. You have no reason to believe otherwise.
