Tailgate window slanted???

I've just finished (well, almost finished) installing a new tailgate on my 90 Bronco XLT. It went fairly well (aside from one trip to emerg for stitches). As an aside, it's really a good idea to keep your tetnis shot up to date when working on these things - thankfully mine was!! The major problem I have is that when everything is together, the window in the tailgate has a definate slope to it. The driver's side is approximately 1/2" lower than the passenger side. I had noticed this before the swap, but thought it was due to the fact that the inner bracket had rusted loose & wasn't fully connected to the tailgate itself. I'm wondering if the window motor was replaced & the regulator wasn't synced up properly. Any ideas are most welcome!! Also, I'd appreciate any feedback on extend a flares vs cutout flares.

Thanks!

Tailgate window slanted???

Mine also had one side lower than the other. I went to Ford and bought the 2 small square poly / hard plastic that attaches to the window bracket that raises and lowers the window. Sorry, but I went blank on the name of them but I have replaced mine twice. This may not be your problem but it is a common failure with the rear window.

Hope this helps.

Relax thats a good thing insurance and registration is lower that way. Also you can drive on parkways because it is a passanger vehicle.

Although I don't think it's a "station wagon", it IS a wagon-body light truck. If you look on the door sticker, you'll see the type is MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle).
