This is the under side of an original '03 high pressure oil pump cover.

And here is the under side of the replacement cover.

And here is the discharge tube. The shiny area in the photo is where it tends to rub through under the cover.

Got my oil cooler kit, updated supply and drain pipes yesterday. Not associated with, but excellent service and pricing from Gene at Tousley Ford. Only thing I wasnt aware of is the screen also comes in the oil cooler kit, so now I have two screens. Just need BPD's EGR cooler to arrive and I will begin the job. Hopefully able to take lots of pictures along the way. I am certain to have questions as I go, I appreciate all the great info and tips on here.

Thanks again m-chan68,
I looked at a new one with the groove on the inside, and on the outside it has a raised contour that follows the goove on the inside. Would this raised contour only be on the new covers that have the goove on the inside? The reason I ask is the outside of the new cover looks exactly like the one that is currently on my motor and the part numbers are the same.
there was some warranty work done on my truck for the ICP and some surging issues in the last two years.
Thanks again.

Does anyone know if the STC fitting upgrade is available anywhere besides Bullet Proof Diesel?

Apologize for the ignorance, there are multiple conversations going on in this thread. For my '05 SD, even if I purchased the kit from BPD for the HPOP fitting (the one previously referenced), I still should purchase Ford part 3C3Z-9G805-AA?

Thanks.

No, that part is specific, exclusively to 2003 model year engines.

I would say you got a freebie on the screen, my oil cooler "kit" did not come with one.
