What's BPD? I would like to order the same before I tear into my oil cooler replacement.

No the kit mudhengib is referring to, applies only to '05 and newer models.

Thanks again for any help.
You may want to look into the discharge tube as well, if it has rubbed under the cover. The part number for this, is 3C3Z-9T288-AA.

m-chan68,
How much rubbing/wear would dictate replacement of the discharge pipe/tube?

I really want to thank everyone that has been a part of this thread as it has been extremely helpful to me.

Concur! I would not be able to do this work without the help here. I'm new and everyone has been great. Very impressed.

Considering how thin that metal is already it doesn't take much rubbing at 4000 psi to blow a hole in it. IMHO that's a smart thing to do, just never seen that recommendation before.

Is there a replacement cover for an 04 motor too?

I do have pictures of the under sides of both covers that will easily illustrate what I'm referring to. However, I don't know how to post pics, so call me an idiot if you like. I don't mind. And yes, I agree that I wouldn't be putting in a new pump without the discharge tube as well.
