wierd frog egg question

ok,here's something for someone better at using internet search procedures than I am. Do frog/tadpole eggs evaporate and then fall out of the sky the next time it rains? I am just curious because my mom catches rainwater off the roof of her house for the garden and flowers she has at her house. she told me today that some of the buckets had tadpoles swimming around in them, and then she asked me how that happened. I said I have no clue lol. I tried a search and found tons of info about frogs and tadpoles, but no info about them raining from the sky lol.

They pop up in the strangest places sometimes...

I did find these links, however:

MYSTERIOUS FALLS FROM THE SKY!

I think frog eggs are resilient enough to survive just about anywhere - We've been hearing frogs around our apartment and there isn't any open bodies of water for, at least, 5-10 miles or so... Once the weather gets hot and dry, they'll all die off - it's just weird to hear them now...

In the early 90's, I was a security guard at a car lot in Federal Way, Washington. I stepped out one night to make my rounds and the entire lot was completely covered in tree frogs. There was a canal running along one edge of the lot and, it was as if they all spawned simultaneously then started hopping across the lot in one massive swarm. I had never seen anything like it before or since. They were so thick, it was tricky to walk around without stepping on any...

Mosquito?

> there isn't any open bodies of water

The gutters? If a gutter clogs enough it can become a breeding ground for mosquitoes and the frogs follow .
