Back in the late sixties or early seventies I used to play with a toy at my grandparents house. I don't remember what it was called but you would take a small plastic square and put it into a heated chamber and it would unfold into a dinosaur or alien. You could then take it out and it would hold that shape. You could then put it back into the heated chamber to soften it up then take it out and put it into a press where you could make it back into the plastic square. Does anyone here remember playing with someting like that and do you remeber what it was called?
My brother had a mattel "thingmaker" where you poured liquid plastic compound of various colors out of squeeze bottles into a mold and then baked it on a small hot plate. The little hot plate that came with them didn't cook them fast enough so we'd set them on the kitchen stove burner.
