Howdy all and Happy Fathersday to you. I'm geting everything ready to pull the turbo off my '01 F250 SD 7.3 for a total rebuild and am wanting to replace the up pipe gaskets while I have the turbo off. So my question is where can I get these donut gaskets? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I personally ditched the donut design and went with the International up-pipes. They are bellowed instead of using the donut design, so they don't eventually spring leaks.
Diesel Innovations also sells a version of their own up-pipes. Both the IH and the DI versions run close to the same price.
OEM donuts are the best replacements for fit, but I have found that the uppipes will errode under them and this is the cause of the leaks. Donuts don't hold up well without replacing the pipes also. I did a stock uppipe/donut replacement only to find them leaking again in 1 1/2 yrs. Went with the IH bellowed uppipe kit and now my worries are over. Your other option is to use the small block Chev/Ford 2'' exhaust donuts which are thicker and coat them liberally with antiseize before installing them for a good crush. The thicker donuts will seal the worn area.
