Beans brass donut gaskets

Anyone tried these from Beans or heard anything good or bad on them. I may go ahead and do mine since I have the turbo off and have a small leak already.

I would steer clear of a solid ring for the up pipes.
My reasoning for that is I think it will anchor the upper part of the pipe in place in that flange and then that leaves no room for expansion and contraction of the up pipes.
What that will result in is that it will push up HARD on the back of the turbo and I am afraid that it might break the turbo pedastal in half or something equally as disastrous.
We all know that the bellowed up pipes are the best solution, but not everyone has the $$$ for that right now.
If I were in that position I would simply get the factory style gaskets. They allow a little bit of "slip" and that will eliminate the potential for breaking something.

Read this on FTE:

"FelPro p/n 8194 work great. They are slightly bigger than stock and squish down nicely. Use antisieze on them. Under 8 bucks a pair at NAPA."

I remember someone on here got those from Bean's and couldn't get them to compress down enough. Don't remember who it was though.

If it's not too late, the stock gaskets from Ford are made from a woven steel mesh, very durable and a perfect fit for the application.

The stock gaskets work well, if the up pipes aren't worn. I've seen some that were worn too bad that just the gasket wouldn't seal. Best bet, when using the stock gaskets, is to replace the pipes also. I have the OEM style up pipes and gaskets. The "bellowed ones" weren't available when I did mine.

I am getting up the courage to tackle this one myself. Cost always being a factor, I plan to go with the stock gaskets. If I am wrong then I am only out a little bit. If you need it the Ford part # is F4TZ-6K854-C. They should run you about $10 +/-
