Got Me An X!

Well I found the one I was looking for. An 02 X Limited white w/tan cladding,80700 miles V10 4x4, excellent shape. Good history check clean history 3 previous owners and all for less than 12k. First question is it does need front springs. If I go with X codes do I need to block the rear also?
Item 2 the dome lights seem to stay on an extened period of time after leaving the vehicle. Did alittle research and found a post about relay issues???
#3 Wondering where is best place to get oil pressue to run to a remote Amsoil filter to be installed in the future. And maybe an easy return site?

Well been doing some reading on the springs and looks like I'll be going with V code. I Don't tow much so don't need the extra support and will probably enjoy the ride alittle more. Fortunately The springs are available "used" around here seemingly common according to car-parts.com.

The dome light is most often due to the rear hatch not latching. There is a red indicator on the dash that tells you if any door is open. It doesn't tell you which one though.

if that's not it then just hit the lock on the keyless remote again or push the 8 & 0 on the key pad together. That should turn them off.

Thanks, the door ajar light is on but all the doors are secure so maybe faulty switch. No card in glove box, is there a way to reset otherwise.

More then likely it is the rear hatch. I just slam it when it happens. :-)

Congrats on the Ex. Are you wanting an additional oil filter (bypass system) or looking to relocate the original? I don't think there is a specific kit for the v10 so maybe the oil pressure switch would be a good location to pull from. Not sure you really need it - good quality synthetic + a good filter will be sufficient for these engines. The Amsoil filters, K&N or the Mobil 1 filters are great filters if you are looking for synthetic media or extended drain intervals. I run the standard Motorcraft 820s in mine with Mobil 1.

Yeap. Agreed.

Slam it hard, but not hard enough to break the glass.

Where is the rear hatch switch located,in the latch itself? Pushed on it while having my son watch the light and no fix.

As for the filter just want the extra filtation to get as much clean oil life as possible.
