Take a deep breath, some people expect you to hold their hand and do all the work....

Sorry guys:

For not using the search
For exessive use of brevity (no model)
For not updating my profile

I do enjoy these forums, I am on several, for a lot of new and some very old vehicles I own. I really do apologize, had I not been rushing, I would have made this a much better post for all.

here is a link showing the ff on an exploror go to post #15 Fuel filter removal - Ford Explorer Ranger Enthusiasts "Serious Explorations"® yours should be simliar. you proably need the 5/16 tool , you can check when you buy the fuel filter or else just buy the set at AZ with all the sizes they are as cheap as $10. pull the fuel pump relay and then start the truck until it stalls. pop the fuel filter off wrap a rag around it so you dont get any in your eyes, wear goggle if you have them. reinstall the relay. These filters never seem to get changed , maybe becasue they seem like a pain but once you do it once it is pretty easy. also hit the filter with some rust penatrotor before removing it.
