Engine Misfire

Once in a while under a light load, I will get a misfire. then it straightens out and runs fine. No codes and the shop could not get it to act up. Suggestions?

borrow a scanner that reads live data, take a buddy and go for a drive, replicate the trigger condition....

Live data - that's a good idea. Suggest a brand/model?

do a tuneup including a fuel filter. there is a 95% chance it that takes care of it. Fuel filters are the most neglected item on these vehicles.

Miss-fires are a result of items they can monitor, ei, STFT... MAF... TPS.. O2v ect

The TOOL is only as good as those that use them....

and answers you get are a result of the question put forth....

However Powersmoked had a good point, change the filter and plugs, in addition run some injector cleaner through the fuel....

they are inline filters on my ranger it is in the drivers side frame rail. You will need a $10 tool. THE FILTERS NEVER GET CHANGED ENOUGH

God helps those that help themselves. you are putting on a clinic of how to drive people away from the forum.. have you searched anything before you keep asking these questions? Have you looked under your truck for a fuel filter? Your first post did not include any info!your profile says Navigator? I have to go watch some paint dry
