5 x 4.5 is the right size for a small ford wheel pattern (Ranger, Bronco II, explorer, aerostar). Hopefully your centre hole matches up.
Older full size ford pickups and vans are a larger 5-hole (5 x 5.5? - above website). As far as I remember, Chev hole pattern is same as bigger 5-hole ford, but center hole is different size.
Good luck! (and may you receive counsel from wiser folks than me )
wizzy214, short answer, yes if the center hole fits over your axle hub. The only other thing to look at would be the wheel offset, making the wheel sit outside the wheel well too much or maybe inward too much. The steel wheels you have could be from another Ford product or maybe a Jeep Wrangler, Liberty or Cherokee. Should be a manufactures stamp on it somewhere around the bolt holes. No 5 hole Chev wheel will fit any 5 hole Ford, either full size or mid size like S-10/Ranger.
my winter rims are off a '01 jeep wrangler, slightly different offset. but they work, just tucked into the body a bit more. gm 5-lug patterns that im aware of are 5 on 5" and 5 on 4-3/4" here is my jeep steel wheels i run in the winter:
