For an extra $10 you can get a 3-ton aluminum jack, which is much lighter and no worry about rust.

Thanks for the heads up though. Probably a nice jack for the cars and smaller trucks.

the sale started on friday and ends on sunday. i used the stock jack last week to check my ball joints and after that i Decided to replace the stock jack and buy a 3 ton to put into my toolbox in the bed so I drove by harbor freight and they are having a sidewalk sale. Right up front 3-ton jack on sale normally 99.99 on sale 59.99. I had to remove something out of the toolbox but it fits fine. Returned home, had to test it rechecked the ball joint and other stuff lifts ole 7.3 up with no problems

I paid 100.00 for my 3.25ton jack. Sucker is heavy and the last time I used it I had the ball of the hitch dug into the ground. Still lifted the ole 7.3 up just fine lol. Got a lil heavy at the end though lol.

had mine for about 6 years so far, BUT replaced all the chinese rubber O rings down at Home despot. Only thing that I have that will pick up the front end of the diesel or the wheels on the toy hauler.

BTW mine was $39 on sale

How many O-rings in that jack did you replace? Do you have a diagram to take it apart for O-ring replacement?

Mine is only six months old and used twice. I'd love to know how to do that in case it fails.

I previously had a Sears 2-ton jack. I hardly used it about two dozen times in the five years I owned it. The jack broke....likely O-ring failure. I called Sears and was told to buy a new one at full price. They neither serviced it nor did they have warranty for it. No more Sears for me and my family after that. I will not even step inside that store again.

You put a regular floor jack in your truck box? Thats gotta be a real PITA to get in and out of there. Bottle jacks are really nice for side of the road stuff. You can pick up a 20 ton at Lowes for 50 or 60.

I bought a 12 ton bottle jack at HF for $20. Should be ample for the job.

Yeah, thats true. Even a 6 would be fine. I got the 20 for jacking up my house. Its really slow going up but takes no effort at all.
