My baby was assaulted this weekend in north Austin. I guess someone needed my alpine receiver more than I did. Some lowlife broke into my truck on Friday night by simply prying under the door handle and opining the door. I saw the jimmy jammers’ a few months back and thought about installing them. Well I guess I will be installing them now. I love my truck but ford needs to get their head out of their *** on this. Talking with a guy ant the steelership it’s a problem that still has not been fixed on all F-series trucks.

that sucks. i had the same issue with my PSD in Atlanta. i purchased my Jimmi Jammers 2 years ago and i think they're a good deal. very easy to install. i also got a viper alarm system. i haven't had an attempt since then. my only fear is someone will ignore the jimmi jammer warning stickers and take that screw driver and really tear into the door trying to break that steel plate to get to the lock assembly.
I haven't had anything happen to my truck but some local punks took the faceplate off my Alpine in my VW. Lucky for me they weren't sharp enough to get the deck itself out so they went across the street and took the factory radio out of a '95 Saturn coupe.... and both cars were left unlocked so no damage either. But still, I'd like to get my hands on them and pummel them for a solid 5 minutes.
Sorry to hear to about your trouble - hope you find a good deal on a replacement.

They used a 4" hole saw on my ex-BIL's truck in winder to get to the door rod. Had to replace the door.
Sorry to hear that. I hate a thief. I think everyone who guts caught needs to have a baseball bat taken them. Anymore, I can't stand it when I leave a vehicle parked out side in the driveway at night. I have had anyone break into a vehicle since I've been living in CO. but for the last couple of years every time it snows some low life walks the neighbor hood. At first, only the vehicles parked out side were getting checked but last year the foot prints led up to my garage door. It scares the you know what out of me because I work rotating shifts. I'm in the process of trying to find a security system that I can watch over the web while I'm on nights so I can watch over the family.
"What is the Jimmi' Jammer™ ?
A custom formed steel plate that bolts to the backside of your door handle, preventing thieves from prying into the handle seam or punching the lock cylinder into the door. In the picture above the thief pryed under the handle to get at the lock rod inside the door. Others may try to "punch" the lock into the door, breaking the handle plastic, easily and quietly gaining entry. This can be prevented!
Each Jimmi' Jammer™ kit contains:
Two plates, driver + passenger side. Two window warning labels. Complete installation instructions. Any necessary hardware."
