Twin Stick

Does anyone know if you can buy a kit where instead of having the one **** for the 4X4 (Mine is a NP203, so its all time) to a twin stick so you have a range selector **** and a regular or lock ****. Cause I like the look of twin sticks in a Jeep and I think it would look good in our trucks.

well it has two linkages, one is for selecting high and low, and the other one is to lock the front and rear together or let them free spin (Hint Hi and Hi Loc) so I know you can do it, just IDK if there was a kit.

No, you CANNOT twin stick a 203.

It is chain driven and cannot be independently shifted F hi low and R hi low.

EDIT:
After rethinking this a little I guess you could but it would be purely cosmetic and really not functional outside of having to shift two sticks.

One would control high and low and the other would be the lock. Pretty much pointless because you are not independently shifting anything.

EDIT AGAIN:
if this is really what you want to do you can make it very easy. You'll need another stock shifter, a couple inches of 1/4x1" flat stock and a rig of two little linkages. It can most probably be done with the t-case still in the truck but it certainly would be easier with it out.

I still think its a huge waste of time and effort (luckily not much money) for someting purely cosmetic and not functional.

If you read my post I said 'I like the way they look in the Jeeps' I never said anything about for shifting front into low and rear into hi now did I? I said to have 2 shifters and I think it would be neat. So it can bee done. And must everything be about functionallity?

Just wondering why u would want to have a extra stick to hang stuff on and i just seems it would be somthing else to brake. The brillance is in the simplicity, just what I always thought.

Well then you should let me have the chrome wheels off your truck and go with steels. There 100% function and I have plans on hooking up switches like they use on trucks for the spliter, and lke I said I just like twin sticks. Like the old MACK trucks.

Lol I like the twin sticks, I want to be able to use some switches I have that are made to be mounted on shifters, so I mean its all good reasoning. Cause I plan on getting a locker for the back and if I can a locker for the front, and make it where each locker is on a switch, and one switch on each shifter.

Oh yeah, it's that kind of way outside the box thinking that makes this forum interesting day in and day out!

Is it practical? Yes. And looks way cooler then the stock setup.

no kidding, I have seen this done.. It eas done only as a need to fix a broken stock lever in order to shift out of low range.. But needless to say, it did wourk for the guy, but it wasn't near as cool as a twin 205 and could never hit the same level as a tripple stick 203/205...

Who said I had chrome wheels on my dent? If you are referring to the pic in my sig, those are plastic. It's a model. lol. I say do what you want, it's your truck. I once saw a camaro with a fake 6-71 blower poking out of the hood, that functioned as an air scoop.
