Firestone tire recall
Just FYI, when I received notice last summer that my 2001 EB EXPY was in the Firestone tire recall, I called my dealer to arrange the tire exchange and was told that they were dealing with older vehicles first and that we were on their list and would be called as soon as it was our turn. I patiently waited a few months and inquired again and was told firmly that I had to await my turn like a good little boy. Last week, I had to take the Expy back in for the seat belt recall and my wife insisted that I ask them again about the Firebomb's (I admit, I thought "what a nag"... but I did as I was told), so I asked the dealer again about the tire change and was told "good thing you brought it up because it expires on March 1, 2002... if you don't get them changed before then, Ford won't do it". I asked why someone hadn't called and was told they stopped doing that month's ago... that was a red letter day, I broke out the hammer and chisel to mark the date in stone (driveway actually) because it had to be the first time the wife was right...
