Not to change this thread; or beat a dead horse silly; but last Monday I came across another 63 F100 with Fender spears. It was a flareside model!
Seeing more with spears than normal hood embelms lately.

FENDER spears ??? there was no such thing...the only fender installed badging was on the 1965-66 models...

1961/62's have hood side emblems resembling spears, prolly what Mitch is refering to.

People swap sooo many parts around, only they know what the parts came from...initially.

But...what usually occurs is, they do not record what the parts came from. Then down the road...when something breaks, they or subsequent owners haven't a clue.

 

I'm so sorry I miss refer a part name; I hope you don't lose any sleep over my lack of care!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
