Ha guys, back again with a new?? Got my new draglink today and im trying to take the old one off the pitman arm and it dosn't want to come off. I'v not really "took the hammer to it".... yet, so before I start swingin' away, is there an easy way?
Thanks
p.s..here is a link(i hope it works) of the old draglink http://i843.photobucket.com/albums/z...7/IMG_0695.jpg
Got it off guys ..Took the hammer and started pounden on it. But before I put the new one on, what type/brand of grease do some of you use in the alemite fittings?
BTW good tricks to pull things on and off like that are to use the vehicle weight, like to press the arm back in put a block under the pin then let your jack down the weight of the truck will press it in, dont get carried away however and bend things do it slower then slow
Thanks Spudgun for the reply. Thanks for the info too on placeing the pins back in the pitman arm/tie rod end. How much grease should it take, a few pumps of the grease gun or pump it until it comes out somewhere?
