Mine was in response to someone (Higgin) breaking off a key in their Ranger (11/21/2004):
Key broke. . .
<HR style="COLOR: #d1d1e1; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #d1d1e1" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->Hi all!!!
I broke a key off one time - went to the local hardware store, bought one of those 'cheap' dental picks (looks kinda like a question mark), slipped it above the key, pressed down with moderate pressure, pulled back, the broken key popped out - quickly!!!!
Went back to the hardware store, bought more of the 'cheap' dental tools.
I have at least one of each, including the 'dental mirror'.
I think I paid $2.00 apiece.
Good luck!!!
Keith

"1978 F100 Questions
Hi!! I just picked up a 2wd 1978 f100, and the engine is pretty tired....The tranny is an auto...My questions are these: any good websites that would help me identify the tranny? The engine is a 302, what other ford v8 engines have the same bolt pattern and would bolt up to my tranny? I really want more cubic inches, but if that means swapping the tranny also, I will have to wait awhile....thanks for helping the new guy!! Ben"

Do what Andy said, guys.....You have to pick 'ascending order' so that the oldest posts come first.
Are you talking about the original K&N, or are you looking at the second generation? I wouldn't own another vehicle without at least the K&N filter, but am always looking for a few extra horses. Is the second generation system a simple bolt on? and how much power will it add?
Well, I have to admit that I haven't put a K & N in any of the last 4 vehicles I've owned. Maybe this truck will get the whole cold air intake.. who knows?

I have a ‘90 F250 7.3 with Banks sidewinder turbo and Banks shift kit, last week after stopping in heavy traffic when picking up speed again the truck wouldn’t shift to 3rd gear if I held the throttle down it would go out of second gear but not to third. After changing the fluid change it shifted fine for one day then back to not shifting to 3rd. Checked all of the electrical connectors and still will not shift
