Post Swap Problems/Questions

I decided to start a different thread that is question specific. After the tranny swap my truck is not cranking with the key, my cruise control does not work, and my 4wd dash lights do not work either. I can start it by bridging the starter solenoid and it drives great but no CC. I used the PCM and trans harness from the donor truck. Any ideas?

IS the CC hooked into the clutch pedal?

The only thing hooked into the clutch pedal is the clutch master cylinder at least until I get a clutch activated neutral safety switch.

You need a CPP Switch for the CC to work.

Here is another related thread.

Check out the diagrams that Jim posted.

Is a clutch pedal position switch what goes onto the clutch master cylinder rod? Has it been shown to resolve the cruise issue? And what is BPA? Also, I did not swap speedo sensors from the rear end of the donor. Do I need to do that or is my original speed sensor fine?

Bump. Alright, I got a clutch pedal position switch but it still won't crank with the key and I don't know about cruise because I haven't cranked it. Still looking for ideas...

Is it adjusted correctly?
With the clutch out the switch should be actuated.

Try this, the plug the switch plugs into short out the pinss with something then making sure the transmission is in neutral see if it will crank. Any yes the cruse control uses the same switch for panic stop situations.

I see that a lot of people are looking at this thread so I'll continue brainstorming on here until the right person drops by. I have some more info that may be useful to troubleshoot this. I took from the donor all that I felt I needed. The t case was a BW 1356 and mine had a BW 4407 so I put the 4407 back in behind the ZF S5 42 that I had built so it is NOT the ZF from the donor.
As previously said, the PCM and tranny wires are from the 95 donor so really the only thing that is left from my original rig is the BW 4407 t case.
Now to the point. I'm getting no response from the key even with the clutch pedal position switch in but it runs great in all 5 gears once started. I didn't have cruise but haven't checked it since placing the CPP.
My t case only gives me 2H and neutral and no 4x4 or 4x4 lights but maybe this is due to the length of the linkage from shifter to t case. I guess even the wires could be different for a 4407 vs 1356 but it has the exact same plug. However, it really doesn't appear other than a beefier case that the 4407 is different than the 1356.
That's all I have for now. If you have any ideas even if not concrete PLEASE drop a line.

Here's a trouble shooting guide and electric diagram.
You may want to start at 'PINPOINT TEST B'.

Sounds good. I get home from work tomorrow morning and will try that. I guess it's adjusted correctly. I put it on the only way I see that it fits...

Thanks man. I think that will help me start to troubleshoot this thing. I also need to check my tranny wiring harness but the activation of my reverse lights make me think it is fine. Either way when I get ahold of a multimeter I'll be checking continuity of all the wires to rule that out as a problem.
