I also installed 4 new Kenwood 6x8's two months ago for $120.00. I have $1,000 in the system that sounds better than the Ford factory $3K system.

Thought about adding a AMP and Sub, however the Pioneer system has a AMP built into it. The company that installed it said a AMP wouldn't be worth spending the money on with the sound performance that I already have. The Sub would give it more bass, but I have a Reg Cab and don't really need the Sub.

This is a Great system for the money!
Who did the install for you? my X910-BT is on the way, and its 95ish here is texas, .. have to drag a wire from the review camera up as well.

Bestbuy did the installation. They have a tech that works there part time that is very knowledgeable and does Great job. Also the install is warrantied for as long as you own the truck. If you decide to sell it, they will remove your equipment and install the factory equipment in it for Free.

The Nav atenna, bluetooth and Ipod wires took a while to run. They also have to hard wire the safety wire on your parking brake. This keeps you from watching DVD's while driving.

Not a bad deal for less than $100.

Wait don't you want the ability to watch DVD's while driving? Hahah, well not you watch them, but your passengers? I was looking to do that to my stock unit. I want to be able to play DVD's and adjust the NAV while driving.

You can actually watch a DVD while driving, if you press the parking brake just one click. At this point you will also be watching your parking brake light on the dash and could do a little damage to your brakes/rotors.

I can however listen to music DVD's and still have the Navigation on. This is a cool feature. I listen to concerts DVD's mostly instead of the radio or CD's.

The Pioneer system also has a feature that allows you to set the audio to concert, theather and a couple of other modes. It alos has a seperate feature for Bass and a Sub in addition to the EQ.

yeh, a simple cable wire change/ground seems to enable the dvd/nav while moving, so u don't have to risk that on the parking brake.

lots of video on YouTube how to do. move yellow wire, and ground it and parking brake wire all the time.. I want that for Nav input..
