Yup. I tried it for about 2 months and it started locking up on me. Kinda hard to walk when you can't straighten your leg. LOL
Just get it done, it ain't too bad. It will be if you wait too long though.

Thanks I hope so.
You have been helping already. Thanks with keeping the chapter and monthly threads hot and active. Thanks to all you guys.
Yeah and the bad thing is the wife won't trust me to walk with her in my arms. So whenever she cathes me sitting in my chair guess where the crying baby is. LOL. I can't pick her up but I certainly can sit and burp.
Good morning everyone, I think. Got bad news yesterday, we are going to have to put our golden retriever/lab down. She has been loosing tons of weight and not eating much at all. They did X-rays and saw her heart was larger, her spleen was double the size normal with her intestinal area wrapped around it. We have had her since she was born......12 years. I know that is the time span for these type dogs, but she is part of the family. My wife and I cannot have kids, so she has filled in this void. We bought another pup looks just like her last year in hopes to keep her active and have something to ease the pain when she goes.
Well its time for her to go and I cant cope with it....its tough. Do you think we are selfish for prolonging it for one more week. The wife just needed more time to say goodbye. Not sure when we are going to bite the bullet and take her in, but I also dont want to wait til she is totally suffering.
i had an animal that neededto be put down once, we went back and forth on the waiting another week subject. if the dog is suffering then you shouldnt make her suffer. but if she is waggin her tail and walking around half way decent a few more days might not hurt. but in the end its really up to you. its a VERY hard thing to do and i hate that youre going through it.
Well she is still mobile and does hang around and act somewhat normal, but only in spurts. Talk to the wife just now and she said probably monday, unless we see her get really bad or worse. I guess you just have to enjoy the last few days you have together.......gosh its tough, tearing apart this old man and breakin him down....
