Hey Trey, Neil, Chris! Thought I'd pop in and see what's shaking! Bill, I know what you mean. My 97 F-150 is getting kind of long in the tooth. I have a few rust spots on it now. I'll only be driving it until next July, when I'll hand it over to my Stepson. Even having over 200K miles, it still runs really well.
Pat - was hoping to hold on here for a bit longer til I can round up something a bit newer, so that's why I'm looking to fix rather than trade, but not sure how long I can hold out now.
Yeah, it's a tough trade off. Basically, if your going to fix it, it will be pricey, and you will be committing yourself to the truck. Hopefully the mechanicals hold up. But, buying a new vehicle is also expensive, and used ones come with their own problems.
