Eric - right now I'm into about $3500 or more worth of bodywork to solve the rust issues. It's into the floor boards now, etc...it's getting messy.

Yeah my 01 is starting to develop a case of rust on the passenger side rear door, a hole in the bed towards the rear and the lower edge of the tailgate is starting to show signs of rust. 110K miles on it.

i have been lucky so far. the only vehicle that really had alot of rust was my first truck which was an 85 f150. had rust in the floor pan, both doors and bed as well as the cab corners.

My Cavalier that I had before my truck I bought new and after 13 years I had 145K on it. The rockers were gone, tank leaked and the fule lines were starting to weep. It had some other issues that were starting to creep up so it was time to replace it.
