Trey - I have to check it out and see what's there. I just hate to be out in Pittsburgh next week (or possibly on my way somewhere else, like MD ) and have a cop pull me over and give me the old "48 hours to fix it..." routine and have no resources available to make it happen. Every shop I've talked to so far has given me the "rust work cold shoulder" right now.

ok bill. if you can find a grinder, to cut out the bad metal with, tape off the area you want to cut out. think of it as paintin, but you want to cut along those lines. then you will need to rent a small MIG welder from a weldin supply store. they make little 110 units that would be perfect for this.

heres a short clip from a really good video that will help you weld, should you feel courageous enough to do it yourself. i would advise watchin the full length vid.

He makes it look easy, however a big part is the set up such as wire feed rate and heat setting.

Yeah there's a lot more to it...it takes more homework than a 2 minute clip.
