It is with mixed emotion I write this. After much debate, I traded the KR in last Thurs night. I picked up a 2010 F150 CC XLT with the 5.4 and 6 spd auto. I will have some pics at some point. This was NOT an easy decision for me, as I loved that truck. By far the most favorite of all the vehicles I have ever owned. It was just the better financial decision for my family right now. I will still be checking in here on occasion, but mostly I'll be at the top of the forum on the F150 pages. I need to learn about that now.
I am in South Williamsport at a 3-day baseball camp where they play the Little League World Series, and I have to tell you guys that have sons or daughters, this place is the Holy Grail of little league. My son is having a once in a lifetime experience! These fields are like nothing I have ever seen. When I get home I'll have to take some pics of the new truck and put them up.
I would like to thank everyone here for all the help and camaraderie over the last several years. It was truly a great ride. See ya around here sooner or later! -Tim
Tim - all I can say is that your presence here will be missed. I have personally enjoyed your participation on the forum and, even more so, the emails we have exchanged. We will expect you to drop in a few times - at least over the next few weeks anyway. I don't see how anyone can just quit "cold turkey".
What a fantastic experience for both you and your son. Please post the pics when you get the time! These are definitely some of the important things of life.
Now we will have to find a new "resident smart a$$! On second thought, some things are better off "retired" instead of replaced .
Best of luck to you Tim - please drop me an email from time-to-time. Maybe I will check in on the F150 forum occasionally also - my son has a 2007.
D8, I know you'll miss the 6.0, but the 5.4 in the 150 isn't bad at all. I'll be looking forward to seeing you in the 150 forum and the modular 5.4 forum here as well. If you ever need info on the 150 5.4 let me know, I'm sure I can find something for you.
Make sure you post about the first time you accidentally fill the F-150 with #2..
Or do what I do and still doing the "wait to start" routine. Of course, when I get out of the habit it's time to get back into the big truck and the cycle begins anew.
