Code V0105

So heres whats going on once in a while I will go to start the excursion and it will just crank and crank but not turn over. So I turn the key off and try again and turns over right away. So I go to my edge jucie attitude monitor and do a dtc code check and it brings up only one code V0105 (loss of communication to the FICM) It has been running fine no other problems it only does it once in a while. Should I be worried I am going on a 4000 mile road trip in six days. Is this a sign of my FICM going bad or my high pressure oil pump going bad or something wrong with the PCM? Can't be the egr system because I deleted it the only thing different I have done was switched to rotellat6 5w-40 but that shouldn't matter. Please help guys

Code U0105: Loss of communication to the FICM--check for a wiring issue. Make sure your harnesses are all plugged in. Try removing the Edge box and see if it still happens. Nothing to indicate an HPOP problem.

Go to the FICM disgnostics in the 6.0 tech folder and go through those.

Go here for what the code can mean: 2005 Update Page 10 Diagnostic Codes P2199 thru U0306 By reading the code it can be PCM, FICM, or a circuit problem. The first thing I would check for is wiring and correct FICM voltage.

I've had one that did the same. The engine would stall with no warning but would restart without fuss. Check all the above and check your FICM and PCM relays and if they sit tightly as well. There's a complete procedure for U0105 in the Ford book.
