Exciting weekend ahead!
Get to spend this weekend with my sons doing Mods on Tom Dually. No FTE brothers around so I guess my sons will have to do
I've been stockpileing a few pieces till I could get up here to use his shop.
since its a 3 day weekend there will be plenty of time to get them done mixed in with "small" amounts of adult beverage consumption
here's the list:
Swamps 175/146 singles, ceramic coated manifolds and up pipes, 38r, CPS fuel system, Banks 6.0 intercooler, Riffraff manifold inserts.
Thanks to Clay at Riffraff for the special help. also thanks to Bob Riley at Dieselsite, and Bryan at Diesel Power Products.
I'll try and take as many pics as I can and figure out how to post them
LET THE MODDING BEGIN!!!!!!!!!

Too bad you don't have the doors with you!! No worries about the space, the basement still has plenty left over!!
I'm really interested in your impressions of those injectors. I don't tow like you do, but I'm not interested in racing either and they seem a great (potential)fit for my wants/needs.

The scorecard so far today: as of 11:00AM
Good Ideas that worked:
Walker: 1
Dad: none so far
By the way: I'm Walker, Barney's youngest son and prodigal mechanic in learning. We'll keep you updated as the days go by. So far we are disassembling # 5 but we are making good progress, the intercooler tubes are out, and we're working on the turbo right now. To boot all the fun stuff is laid out and teasing us as we try to take the old out.

No Joe, I had Bill at PHP update my live tune files to work with the singles. Then when he comes west in the fall I'm going to have him fine tune things again. only this time we'll be pullin the 16,500 lb house up Echo Canyon while he's tuning! altitude change from 5000 ft to 7000 ft.
update: the turbo is out and the exhaust brake is swapped over along with the Turbo Master wastegate control. Me thinks the old turbo was about dead. there is about 1/4 inch of the edge of the driven wheel fins are missing! melted off! no wonder I was having trouble building boost.
Now the up pipes and manifolds.........
