How did that trip go with the added trailer to the camper?

Gene
Did you make those running boards?

That's what I'm going to try, I have the add-a-leafs I pulled from the front. Hoping they will fit between the lowest stock leaf and the next one up so I don't have to disassemble the leaf pack. Stacked blocks scare me.

No, they were on it when I bought it several years ago. They were manucatured but I don't know what company made them. The rear bumper was made by Luverne Truck Equipment Co out of South Dakoda. They may have made the boards as well.

The truck itself came from near Atlanta, GA where the first two owners lived, so the running boards may have come from a South Eastern manufactrue.

It's always been someones toy since new, never a work truck. It's semi retired now. I took it out for a maintainance drive yesterday and it ran beter than it ever has before. It's pretty much box stock with 160,000 miles.

I have a E350 Power Stroke as well.

Looks good

Mine came on the truck when I bought it new. They sure come in handy exspecially when cleaning it or digging in the ice chest for a cold one.

The DAWG is a nice looking rig. I like the running boards on it. Was your truck customized by an aftermarket company like Southern Comfort etc? I haven't seen a paint scheme like it before.

My main boards are very strong and I step on them every time I get in or out of the truck, but the short sections that are at the front of the bed are not very strong. One corner of them is (was) supported by a bolt through the edge of the fiberglass dually bumper and the other supporting brackets for those sections are a hodge-podge of angle iron. I consider them a "no step" area.

Your rear bumper looks like it may be the same brand as mine but maybe with less drop? Mine has ten inches of drop and is rated as a V5 hitch, but I always use the receiver under it.

Yes customized by Centirion. All of the runners are strong. If you look close the passenger side of the rear bumper is crushed in.

I had the truck for 12 years when that happened and the truck finally got coined with the DAWG name; after my daughter backed clean over, a fire hydruant. So it hicked a fire hydraunt and became the DAWG. lol

Good story. I have a long history with fire hydrants myself, but I never backed over one.
I named mine Chuck in honor of one of your fellow statesmen, Paul Thorne. He is a musician from Louisiana who is known for is comedic turn of phrase and having boxed with Roberto Duran during his hay day. Anyway, in one of his songs (Butterbeans) he says he got in his "chuck" and the rest is history. If you have never heard Paul Thorne, check him out, he's a hoot!

That's a nice lookin truck, really like it. I like the short bed extend cab trucks, only problem is I would only have like 4' of bed if I had a 6' bed with stacks and tool box.
