He guys, a few months back I posted up about a bad experience I had at Delehanty Ford, shortly after they switched from a Pontiac dealer to a Ford dealer.
Well, the long and short of it is I was pissed at them over what I now believe to be the beginning of their transformation, and basically said they needed to improve upon a few things---- well I just wanted to let yall know they have (based upon today's experience I may have even just caught them on a bad day).
I took my truck to them this morning regarding a misfire issue I had that nobody could seem to find. They brought my truck in, setting aside what I had said, and an hour later had her all fixed up. This wasn't a totally easy issue to find, because it was a compound problem but they had it covered. Further more to the best of my knowledge they do have Ford certified technicians.
In that thread the service manager did invite me in and said he'd make me a customer for life. well after how well they solved my issue this morning and meeting everyone there I tell ya what I will most certainly go back again. If they give the same level of service the next time that they did today, I probably will be a customer for life.
So long and short of it is, they seem to be up on their feet after the GM --> Ford conversion and they did good work. If you're in the greater flint area and need dealership service, pay them a visit.
Agreed. Sometimes we all have bad days. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience, but props to you for making it right later on.
Don't give me the credit, I just swallowed my pride and paid them a visit. But I'll tell ya what... good service is good service and they definitely made things right
Glad you got it fixed but I have had anti-seize on the threads of my spark plugs for the past two years without issues (not to mention on many, many other vehicle, small engines, etc). I would say a lot of guys have used anti-seize on the threads of the plugs without issue.

Well thats just the thing, you may not have enough on there, or have a good connection for it to ground properly. Ford issued a TSB on it because it really plays hell on the 3valves and the 2 valves are vulnerable.
The tech I talked to said most of the coil related problems he's seen involved anti seize and vehicles with coil issues and no antiseize are few and far between.
I have had it in there ever since I owned the truck, it just doesn't guarantee a solid ground, so you may not have any apparent problems but it'll really be stressing the coils. If you search for my 'modular engine expertise needed' thread it has all the details and the TSB in there
You know guys, I figured I should put this out there (after much debate its probably best yall know)
This forum is a powerful place, and as I have found if you voice your opinion here it will be heard. There really is no need for details, but this thread is a testament to the forum's power and all of us who make it possible.
If it weren't for FTE and the guys that run it (thanks IBTim) I don't think I would have actually given Delehanty the time of day to make my beef with them right. My best advice to you guys tho, when posting make sure you follow these rules.
*keep in mind I'm not a moderator, I have infractions (not a model citizen), and I'm really not trying to help the moderators... this is for your own good*
1. Choose your words carefully... always! There is a very fine line between the truth and slander, if you are sharing a bad opinion of something or someone it is best you don't call them a string of (&^*^&*@^$#((*@$@'s
2. If you make a claim why something or someone is not good, back it up with facts that can be proven. It is possible your word may be held against you, but nobody can argue a truth that is supported by reality.
3. I don't care how angry you are at someone or some thing, at least give them the respect you want in return, this may be your saving grace someday. There's a lot of truth in "what goes around comes around"
If you're wondering where this is coming from, my voice on hear was heard loud and clear by those I was very upset with. They took the time and opportunity to make things right... below is a link of what may happen if the establishment in question isn't as 'quality' as the one I dealt with.
The only reason I'm posting this here is because I don't know where to put it, but those 3 rules probably should be a sticky somewhere. This isn't because I'm a firm believer in etiquette either, it's because I learned a valuable lesson and was fortunate enough to have it turn into a VERY positive experience. There are others who are not as lucky.
