Take a drill, and drill a series of holes through the rubber, that will let the centre bolt and bushing come out easier. Once you get some space created, take a hacksaw, slide the blade through the centre, and cut a slit (or 2-3 if you want) in the outer bushing and it will allow it to collapse more, making it a lot easier to get out.

well got all the old crap torched off today. Picked up a new hanger and bushing at advanced auto. Dippies gave me the wrong bushing or something. Whatever it is it dont go in the hole ive got.

haha thats funny cus i thought just the opposite when i put mine on.
i just sprayed my new bed and frame,flat black to blend in.and now have a shiny gloss black hanger w/shiny new bolts and course with my bed,its all in the open.
but im not getting the spay gun dirty just to hit that lol.
