how do ya tell what gauge a wire is? Maybe you guys can tell me

Hard to tell by your pic, but I promise you that you can get by with a smaller cable on that go cart, unless of course you are swapping in an idi. lol

If you measure the conductor only here are approximate diameters.

1/0 .336"
2/0 .376"
3/0 .423"
4/0 .475"

Looking at the picture, my guess is 3/0.

lol nah i got normal hands. Their off a semi if that means anything. I got about 25 feet of it id guess. Figured i could cut em up and make some nice cables for my truck. Got em for free.
