lol have to ask Dad on that one. Thats an 03 pete with a C15 Cat and a 10 spd. over 800k on it. Good truck.

Man, you guys need junkyards. I don't usually find them "perfect", but the one i got wasn't bad. There were a couple holes that had already been filled with bondo. I spray painted it black to match the truck, and rebuilt the latch by cleaning the rust off of the moving parts, lubricating them with ATF, and installing new bushings.
It was like a brand new tailgate. Total investment was under $30.

The problem here is twofold. First, most of them are junk when they get to the yards, rusted out, beat up, accident victims etc, and any IDI's don't seem to last long either. Second, since there are a lot of steel mills in this area at least, when scrap prices went high a couple years back, anything not moving parts wise got crushed and scrapped.

yea thats at my house when its not on the road. I drive it every now and then, gotta make sure mom aint watchin when I do lol, Dad usually dont mind.
