I think he tells you when he sells the extreme race tune that its not supposed to be used for street driving. I am sure it makes awesome power but I remeber reading that a member here was using the xtreme race tune and fried his tranny...there was a big write up on it I want to say user Daddycat?
Over all I am happy like I said before but I have also changed the settings on the SCT. I think I am going to try Jody from DP and just keep them on the computer and see whos is better...but the new alt. needs to come first.
. Do u know how well the 60 compares to the 80? I run the 80 and the shifting is still a little off. However I do like this tune the best so far.
Jaybird, I do not know how they compare. I would guess that the shifting is similar between the two. He adjusted the shifting for a daily driver for me. I will tell you that the shifts are solid and I like them. It is almost like you are in the T/H mode with the up-shifting (It upshifts at about 2500-3000 throughout on normal acceleration). Downshifting is normal. Bottom line is that is is not a "hot rod tune" it is a work truck tune....I am all kinds of pleased. Jody gave me exactly what I asked for. He is easy to talk to and will bend over backwards IOT give you what you want. The man is A1.
Sarge does your truck still dump smoke with your street tune from eric? Just wondering and also is it bad if it does? I dont have any studs on my 6.0 and I'm thinking of getting the street tune and dont know if I need to get anything before setting up this tune. I dont think ill be needing the extreme race one
I haven't been using Eric's tunes anymore. I switched over to Gearheads because the tunes from Eric would make my tranny shift like poop in tow haul and we just couldn't get it right. IIRC it only smoked heavy with my right foot in it heavy.
