but an f750 is still a ford.a bronco never came with an idi but its still a ford option,would you do the swap if you had the means and time?

well, I'm spending 6k on my idi including the price of the engine. I've got 16k into my truck so money isn't the downfall, and I've got all the time in the world. I'd just never do it. I think a 300hp idi is 10x more impressive then a 1000hp cummins.

holy crap 6 grand.whoo i wanna see what that puppy is gonna do!!!!so ya know im not telling you to drop in a cummins i was just pointing stuff out.i would personally love to have both.but the cummins would have to be in a ford body cause them dodges are just plain ugly IMO.i just want a toy.lol

Why would you spend six grand on an IDI motor when you could spend three grand and have a cummins under the hood that will pull the same? Forget the 1000 hp Cummins, just a stock one. There's a well built F350 Fummins for sale around here on 38's with a Cummins, NV4500 HD and transfercase out of a one ton Dodge for $5500 OBO. It's an '87 Crew Cab Long Bed with a little dent in the bumper from a baby elk.
There's a wrecked 12V for sale for $2100 with a Getrag tranny and transfercase outside of town here. IIRC there are 140k miles on that 12V and it runs well - the truck was wrecked in the back.
Does anyone here actually run that cam that was mentioned???
