I'm going to ditch my running boards, as it would look better without them. I'm going to buy either truck steps or nerf bars to replace them. I am also going to buy some mud flaps to replace the ones on it. Now, should I get nerf bars or truck steps? Here's the nerf bars: Westin - Signature Series 25-0530 - StreetSideAuto
What do you all like best and would look best on my truck? I'm getting one of the two because girls have trouble climbing in, haha. Pictures are in my gallery.
Yeah ditch the running boards & i don't like mud flaps , i would leave it like that , the steps or nerf bars look ok if you have some lift with 33X12.5 on 10 in wheels..JMO...Lew
Personally my fav, I have 2 sets, GF got me mine for my bday 3 years ago, Westen SS Nerfs, almost 300 bucks I think, I picked the same set up at a swap meet new for 70, she was pissed lol.
My 95 F350, No Lift 35's
Same Style Steps on my 92 F150 I sold a few months ago. 4-6" Lift(got truck in bad shape like this, half body, half suspension) 35's Steps were 20 bucks at swap meet, made the mounts, got em on.
I personally do not like any of the side steps except for the Eddie Bauer and Flareside ones.
If you need steps then go with the silver hoop steps. I don't much care for nerf bars, except on trucks that have lifts on them. Even then I think that our trucks look best with out them.
if you wheel your truck at all steps can get in the way and bend your body(done it) so id go nerf bars but i personally like how steps look better unless its got a nice lift.
