drive the truck, as soon as it gets hot, shut the engine off. if the fan spins then the fan clutch is junk! it should lock up when your radiator gets hot.

np. if the clutch fan is good (im guessing not) then pull your alternator, vacuum pump with the brackets off, then pull your thermostat housing and check that thing. gasket is only $4 for it. make sure its not fauled. easy way to check it (make sure its opening) is to boil some water, stick the thermostat in it. if it opens, your good to go. bolt everything back up. if your worried its your head gasket, thats a easy check. just take the radiator cap off, fill it to the top. fire the truck up. if it starts blowing globbs of air bubbles out then its your head gasket. its releasing compression into your cooling system. if all that is fine, i would run a radiator cleaner (or dish washer detergent) though it for a while, then run a flush. your radiator rows might have trash in them. i had mine hot tanked. 90% blocked with trash.

ya, keep that thermostat off, bolt the housing back on. theres a green bottle of head gasket seal at your local auto parts store. its like lime green, looks like a quart of oil. its about $30 but it will do the trick.

yeah i know i have another truck but shes a gas hog, shes nicer than my diesel bigger than my diesel but i like my diesel better cause its diesel lol

2400 sq ft. its nice, blows i cant fit in the back half where the tools and lift are. my dad and i are goin halfs on getting a lift to put outside so we can work on our trucks on a lift. be good to pressure wash under the cars too...
