My wife broke the mirror on the truck while backing in a tight place and since the mirror does not fold forward it broke and the whole thing needs to be replaced. Ford was asleep at the wheel designing this mirror. It's the only mirror I have ever seen that does not fold in both directions
So I pain $200 for the mirror but I cant replace it because I can't get the door panel off so I can get to the electrical connecter. I tried just pulling on the bottom but it didn't budge and I'm afraid to break it. Do I need a tool to remove it? Or is there some other secret I need to know to get it off? Any help would be very appreciated
To see how to remove the door panel check out the Interior & Exterior FAQ from the top of the SD forum. It has a link with pics to show you how to remove the front door panel.
