So I'm driving to work today and get cut off by a little convertable something... After parking my front bumper over his back seat I hit the horn and this little beep comes out...
Anyone swap out their stock horn? If so what did you use and whats the Db?
Ok, not that I am knocking on any advertiser on these boards, but if you want HORNS, there is really only one place to go.
www . hornblasters . com
Check some of the videos, when you open the page for hornblasters, look at the better or the best kit. I always like opverpowering so I went with the best kit using nathan airchimes K3LA's. By no means I am advertising them, but I just know who has the best kit on the market. My buddy has the good kit with the chrome triple train horns and a 2.5 gallon tank, and they just plain out suck and are a waste of money. I say do it right the first time, and look into the shocker horn kits, and if you have the money, the nathan airchimes would put a huge grin on your face.
I put Hadley's underhood kit on my Ex when it was new.
These are the same horns with compressor and tank like a big rig has...except the horns are black andmount under hood or behind the grill.
On my '05 V10, I put the compressor under the hood, the tank under the truck, and the horns behind the grill on the passenger side facing the driver's side.
OK, so what about something between air horns that will make your ears bleed and stock?
I'd like something louder then what came on my Ex, something I can use in traffic when my Ex seems to get invisible to other drivers, but not enough to deafen anyone.
That good kit from hornblasters is okay. it cost like 300.00 I think and has a compressor and tank with it. its a chrome triple horn kit. its good enough to get someones attention.
It looks like you have to remove the passenger side fender liner to get to the horn.
