Can anyone give me the specs on it? I'm in the market for a new carb. I'm wondering if it's a dual feed or what? If I were to buy this carb which is a single feed http://store.summitracing.com/partde...57#largerimage
Would it work on my engine?
I've got a 351 H.O.
i dont know anything of the carb specs, but i do know that whatever carb you put on your 351 shouldnt be bigger than 650. unless you have it built to rev up to 8000 rpms. if your redlin is 6000 like the average 351ho, a 650 is more than enough cfm.
That particular carb I got at a local junk yard for $100. I know it came off an '85 pick up with a 351. I just purchased the rebuild kit. They said the carb was $500 brand new. Anyway, it is a good carb. Here you can look at the rebuild specs and exploded view if you want. Http://216.255.221.34/~drshred/holley.html
The Holley 4180C is a single feed carb. From what I read on this site, the 4160 that you are thinking of buying will work great for your truck. You may need to get some kit or take things from your old carb to get the throttle and kickdown linkages right. I just happenned to buy a rebuilt 4180C from Advance 2 weeks ago for $420.00 for my '84 351W H.O. I think the real difference, besides the price, between the 4180C and 4160 is that the 4180C is set up for emissions control. If that doesn't concern you, I think you could slap the 4160 on your truck with a little help from the guys here at FTE.
