Question Fuel Pump Replacement

My front tank fuel pump is dead and my fuel from my rear tank flows into the front tank while running. Im told that replacing the pump will fix this. Can I get a confirmation on this? And how hard is it to take the pump out of the tank and insert the new one?

It seems my rear tank's pump is not working, so could the same thing happen with mine?

Cool

i got to the fuel pump but its stuck in there really bad that i cant get it out, and i called the local Ford dealer and he said that a pump would cost me $400+ so im thinkin about putting an external fuel pump on it

i got some pics and ill put em on here on what it looks like, its been a frustrating day

Taking off the gas tank is easy, the only problem is the fuel hoses quick connectors. if yo have the tool to take them appart is simply.
with the tank outside, you can easily take off the fuel pump/sender unit.
i did it last week end. if you want i cant tell you what steps i´d made.

You should be able to put a pair of vice grips on opposite tabs and tap them with a hammer and the ring should come off.
Then the pump lifts out.
The pump should not cost more than about $160. at an auto parts store.
