OK guys,a while back there was a question about the icp, dont know if their was a conclusion,if you disconnect the icp and no change in how the motor runn,is icp bad or good.
Thanks Jim
If you disconnect something, the computer will go to a default preset situation. So if yours is bad, and you disconnect it, i think it should get better. If yours is good, there should be no change.
I just changed mine out. My truck wouldnt hardly run till it thew the coded and went to the preset value. Cleared the code which kills the truck then start it back up same thing wont hardly runs and dies. Unplug the CPS starts right up and runs great but with an auto trans shifts super hard. And thats an expensive little sensor. I paid $177 at dealer no one else had it intown. But even online most are $160s

I have read something similar but with the MAP sensor: if you disconnect and the motor runs BETTER, then you MAP is bad, and IF there are not a significant changes (just a CEL) IT IS fine.
In the other hand about the ICP I have read that when the truck dont start and you disconnect the sensor and it runs, the sensor is BAD
