So, I see that its two bolts on top of the HPOP, but how are those attached? Mine just sits in my backseat. I'd be more than happy to trade you if that SD one would work for me.
Kris- I have the whole thing including brackets and nuts (except the bracket that runs over the HPOP reservoir and also is a guide for some wiring) in the garage, looks brand new. Let me know what it's worth to ya.
James the SD covers attach with either a metal or plastic bracket to the HPOP cover, but the SD HPOP cover is different on the SD so I'm not sure how "bolt on" it would be. Kris you should pull that cover off and snap a pic of it.
That would be awesome. I think I would rather have the short one. So hopefully it will work, then i just need to find someone to trade me haha.

Kris, the late build 97 trucks have those covers. A couple of friends have them. There are a couple of other differences. The D50 is mounted a bit differently (5 bolts instead of four?). The pivot bushings are also different. No under hood light (XLT). If I think of anything else I'll post up. I also think the PCM is really hard to find for those. Get the code off that puppy and do some research. Just in case.
Kris if you want my OBS cover shoot me a PM. Those brackets on your SD cover are home made, FWIW.
James if you don't end up trading with Kris I have 2 SD covers in the garage. One is customized with red paint on the lettering, the other is stock. Let me know if you are interested.
The one I have that is painted looks like the one Kris has, but all the raised portions (letters and stripes) are painted red.
