What are you paying for your new trucks?I'm hearing some West coast dealers are marking prices above MSRP and calling it additional dealer Mark-up.I think there should be law against this. You can purchase a new 2010 for $1200 to $15000 off MSRP however they will bend you over and charge you extra for a 2011.I really dislike car dealers. What are your thoughts???
A local dealer told me that he would order in any truck that I wanted for invoice.
Funny thing about buying a car/truck. Contrary to popular belief, you are in control of the negotiations. Don"t like the deal? Just say no, turn around and walk away.
A dealer is not charging you anything, you are agreeing to bend over and drop your pants.
I agree, this is America and we all have the right to negeotiate.Still it burns my rear the fact that the dealerships can get away with this. The biggest Dealerships in the country have made their fortunes by boning the public.Granted for everyone that negotiates a decent deal,There are several people who get sucked in to this Dealer mark-up scam and all the other games they play. This is what makes me so mad.I personally enjoy the game of negotiating and playing dealer per dealer to assure I get the best deal. Now days with the internet you can do all your shopping online,Just go to the dealer to sign papers and pick up your new ride....
I paid $900 over invoice. I don't normally...I usually buy well below invoice through fleet. This truck was ordered by someone else and my dealer called me, along with others and I was the first to arrive. I wanted it so I bought it. These trucks are past that stage though...I would show the dealer prices from eBay. Call the dealers in Texas. They'll do invoice and delivery to FL is only $800 more.
Also before you buy contact Ford through their website. Request info. They will send you an additional rebate for $750 that is on top of all other rebates and incentives. The only way you can get it is this way. Don't give it to the dealer till you've got your deal done. It doesn't affect their bottom line at all.

Sounds pretty liberal to me. They have something that the customer wants and they charge a price for it. Either you pay it or you don't. We don't need to government to take care of this too. geez
