Replacing steering hub and now have one stud that I coud not remove so I cut it off flush.
While trying to drill it out I broke off drill bit after braking an easy out and then the end of a small punch in another 1/4 inch diameter drill hole.
Now my titanium bits do not want to drill into this mess?
Can I torch this out or is that no good because of the knuckl or is there other suggestions?
Are we talking hub stud? They are tightened to the back of the hub assembly with the corresponding end put through the knuckle and fastened with a Gd10 1.4mm nut I believe. If the stud is stuck in the knuckle, there shouldn't be anything fastening it into place if you chopped either side off... I am not fully understanding what part you are trying to remove. I wouldn't put a torch anywhere near the wheel hub assembly as they are heat treated....
