Pulled up, shut off truck and walked away. Alarm went crazy. I got the alarm off but now it wont start. I had a 00' that needed a chip in the key. This key has no chip. I get no power to the solenoid when the key is engaged, but I can start the truck when when I use a jumper wire. all fuses are good. not sure how to test relays. Im stuck anyone had a similar problem? any ideas or suggestions?

 

i had something similar on a 98. Happened when the battery went WAY down and i got that alarm... I had to get a new battery... always wondered if disconnecting the battery and letting the thing set for a few minutes, then reconnecting, would trigger the computer and reset everything ???

 

Make sure your battery terminals are shiny clean and greased.....
