I just purchased a 2011 F250 FX4, I recently had a 6.4 with no problems...I traded up to the 6.7 and didnt make it a week when this happened.

I parked my truck in a parking lot and when I came out 20 mins later, I hit the unlock button on the key FOB and the alarm started to go off. I attempted to silence the alarm but had no luck. I attempted to start the truck and it would not start. I tried all the buttons on the key FOB and with no luck every time I would attempt to do anything with the truck the alarm would go off.

I had to have it towed to the dealership and of course an hour later when they attempted to start the truck it fired up with no issues.....Just wondering if anybody has ever had this issue and how can i fix it.

Only time I ever had an issue with these symptoms it was with an aftermarket alarm and all we had to do to fix it was press the valet switch (under the dash) while turning the key. Basically the car thought it was being stolen and the immobilizer wouldn't let it start. This all occurred after disconnecting the battery with the alarm armed when it died and couldn't be jumped.

 

Thanks Trophy 23.... spoke to the dealership, they are saying its the aftermarket alarm sending a message to the truck that its being broken into. I told them to disable the alarm module, don't want to deal with this issue again. Thanks for the reply
